ARKITEKTS are Olaf Brüggemann (instruments, arrangements, recording, mix) and Werner Scheiblich (vocals).
They first met and started making music together more than thirty-five years ago in a seaside town in Northern Germany.
Werner left their first band, and soon both left town to pursue lives and careers. None of them ever returned, and none of them became an architect, by the way.
Time has passed between the first humble demo cassette - if anyone remembers what that was - and these new recordings. ARKITEKTS are family men and fathers, but the music has always been a true companion for both, in different projects and forms.
Now they are looking ahead to the past. What are the influences they shared long ago? Who are the favourite artists they can agree on today? What are just songs they both love, for one reason or another?
Piece by piece, ARKITEKTS are paying homage to great pieces of music and great artists, doing it in style. ARKITEKTS style.
Oh, and ARKITEKTS do write their own music, just not together. For their solo ventures, check Satellitemen and One Twisted Soul
